"Beautiful family run restaurant with incredible food (the best steak that we had in Argentina!). The atmosphere is very special, intimate - you and the nature. We stayed for hours enjoying the amazing food and the beautiful surroundings."

"It’s hard to describe just how special this place is. We arrived on a chilly afternoon to find a roaring fireplace waiting for us. Carmine and his staff were incredible. Every course was better than the previous one and the wine was generously poured. The setting is like Eden. The river, the chestnut trees, the birds, and the charmingly rustic furnishings added up to an afternoon that felt otherworldly. We were there for hours and it felt like not enough time. Bonus: Carmine gave my brother in law a Cuban cigar as lagniappe. I want to keep this place a secret but Carmine asked us to write reviews so here it is. Hire a driver if you’re going. It’s not easy."

"A truly perfect lunch. Its family run with honestly amazing and interesting food, from the mushroom pate to the best steak I’ve ever had to the sweet breads and empanadas… all cooked on the woodfire. Sitting next to the river with the horses and butterflies eating desert and drinking coffee was like heaven. Thank you for an unforgettable experience."

"Nestled along the tranquil riverside, El Paisano is a homely dining experience and promises an unforgettable and relaxing afternoon. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with genuine hospitality and helpful assistance from Lorena and Camilo. The food was incredible including highlights of warm focaccia with onions and tomatoes, empanadas and the asado - cooked to perfection. You're never left with an empty glass, starting off with local white wine and then switching to a delicious mendoza malbec when the meat starts to arrive. The atmosphere at El Paisano is nothing short of magical, with the gentle flow of the river and the sight of roaming horses adding to the charm of the setting. It's a place where time seems to slow down, allowing you to savor each moment without ever feeling rushed. Lorena was very helpful in getting the experience booked and ensured that the experience catered to my celiac husband. Muchas gracias!"

"The most special restaurant we have ever been to! Omar and his family were so welcoming especially as we were the only ones who had lunch booked for that day. The food was honestly some of the best food we have ever eaten all paired with delicious Argentinian wine. We started sitting by the stream which was just the most magical setting but sadly the wind picked up so we had to relocate inside – the Argentinian weather can be very unpredictable but it didn't ruin the experience one bit. The portions were generous and we really enjoyed chatting to Omar about the restaurant and his family. An experience that cannot be missed if you are in the area! Thank you Omar and family!"

"We had an amazing meal at El Paisano. The food was so good and fresh and you can tell a lot of love was put into the preparation. The atmosphere enhanced the experience- not sure when I will have another opportunity to dine outdoors right next to a flowing river. Camilo and Michaela were so friendly and really made our afternoon so special. Thank you!!"
